Also to be sure, the argument that videogames are art depends on the
definition of what art is. It is not at all a question of beauty (as art
'commonly' defined), the idea behind Moma's embrace of the medium seems to
be that videogames as art are about relation; of course the notion of
"relational aesthetics" is a nod to Bourriaud, himself a curator and an
influential one at that. To me the show is not about videogames at all but
about the curator as star.
